I would like to make use of the data in the context of the PhD course “Advanced Topics in organizational Economics” taught by Prof. Florian Englmaier at the LMU Munich for PhD students. I intend to merge WMS management data on German hospitals with German hospital cases data (“Fallpauschalenbezogenen Krankenhausstatistik”, or “DRG-Statistik”). My research question is whether better managed hospitals in Germany achieve better outcomes for their patients. In particular, I am interested in different structures of coordination within the hospitals staff.
